NEW MOON RITUAL

New Moon rituals allow you to connect with your inner being, cultivate new goals, implement plans, while reflecting upon what no longer works in your life and manifesting your desire. New Moon energy begins 3 days before the actual event, the 4th day ~ being its most potent energetic moment and then the 3 days afterwards, as the moon moves away from this phase.

Each month the lunar cycles of both the full moon and the new moon give us the opportunity to manifest what we want in life or to dismiss those things that do not serve us and process them out.

The New Moon brings the energy of new beginnings and creativity. It is a gift from the universe given to us to assist in bringing in new opportunities. If you pay attention to what happens during a New Moon, you will find that your creative abilities are heightened, and new opportunities come knocking at your door.

The moon has eight phases. The most well known is the fifth phase or full moon. The new moon is the first phase of the moon, when it orbits as seen from the earth, the moment when the moon and the sun have the same ecliptical longitude. The moon is not visible at this time except when it is seen in silhouette during a solar eclipse when it is illuminated by earthshine. ~ Wikipedia

The new moon is the birthing cycle of the moon’s various phases. Are you ready to attract your heartfelt longings by doing a moon ritual focused on manifestation? The new moon phase is an optimal time for planning and seeding your intentions. Seedlings need a period of gestation before they break through the soil and reach for the sunlight. This is also true for our cultivating our ideas and clearing the way for our visions to surface in reality. The dark side of the moon, with its mysterious unseen forces, offers a nurturing environment where our intentions can establish roots before their miraculous manifestations begin to sprout and reach out to the stars.

New moons represent the beginning of a cycle and the full moon represents a clearing or release. In farming traditions the new moon in the time when the soil is most fertile and wet. Many farmers and gardeners plants seeds on the new moon as the moon’s lunar gravity pulls water up. The new moon is considered a growth phase and is an ideal time to plant seeds in our gardens as well as our hearts for the future. The new moon is an invitation to start fresh, call in intentions, and set the tone for the next cycle.

Creating rituals around the moon cycles is a powerful way to connect with our hearts and the universe on a regular basis. New moon rituals range from simple, elaborate, to everything in between. The most important aspect of your new moon ritual is that you connect with it and set aside time to engage with your practice each month. You will be amazed by the energy that comes from hitting the reset button with each new moon and how much you can manifest in such shorts period of time.

The new moon occurs every 29 1/2 days making it is easy to create a monthly intention setting ritual. Setting aside time each month on the new moon to get clear on what you want to manifest is number one. I typically suggest taking the few days leading up to the new moon to start honing in on what you want. Invite a tender and curious energy into your daily breathwork and meditation practices and notice what reveals itself. After a few days of paying attention you will have much more clarity when the new moon arrives on what you want to call in.

With each new moon I would suggest to designate a notebook for your new moon lists. If something you are working on hasn’t materialized yet you can add it to the list again, if it has, there is always space for something new. Keep your new moon intention lists to ten items. All ten items can be centered around the same subject or you can focus on different areas. Either way, stick to ten, more than that and lists become scattered and way less potent. Better to keep things clear, concise, and simple than over complicate them. Universal energy is most efficient when we are. Think about it for a moment, absolutely no energy is wasted in nature – this is a key lesson here in writing out intentions and manifesting.

Please note that your new moon lists should be written by hand on paper. Something very magical happens when you put pen to paper and this is key in the intention setting process. designate a notebook just for your moon lists.

And finally, you have 48 hours once the new moon begins to set your intentions. These hours are the most potent for manifesting and it’s good to get in the habit of working within this 2 day time frame.

CREATING A NEW MOON RITUAL

Gather Sacred Supplies: This can be in your an altar, desk, or corner in your home Your altar is where you collect your sacred objects -- pictures, herbs like sage ( Sage is an herb used to clear a space, and make it sacred for ritual) crystals, sage, candles, notebook. Using herbs with healing or symbolic properties adds to your ritual. Stones and crystals are another powerful ally. Sage. Candles are magical, and in its form contains all four of the elements. A small journal or notebook on hand allows you to keep a record of your intentions.

PREPARING FOR THE RITUAL:

  • Before engaging any ritual, clean and organize your space. Clearing the energy of your sacred space sets the tone for your practice and helps you align with the present moment. Carve out a little space that makes you feel inspired, grounded, and connected to your deepest self. Say a simple prayer to ground your energy and intentions:

“Dear Universe, I welcome transformation, growth + abundance. May I have your support to clear this space so that my truest intentions can flow clearly from my heart onto the page. I know what I need. I am ready.”

  • Burn sage

(Sage is an herb used to clear a space, and make it sacred for ritual..if you do not have a sage..then you can burn any incense sticks, if you do not have any incense sticks…then simply use candles.

  • Light a candle, Candles are magical, and in its form contains all four of the elements air, fire, water, and earth

  • Turn on soothing music.

  • Take a ritual bath with sea salt to clear your field of any negative energies.

  • Crystals (optional) Stones and crystals are another powerful ally. You can use the new moon energy and light to charge and cleanse these

  • Notebook to write your intentions

  • Conjure a connection to the Divine. Call upon a connection to the source energy you feel supports you the most: guides, angels, or any other divine connection. connect with each of the four elements: air, fire, water, and earth. correlate each one with a direction on the medicine wheel; East, South, West, and North. Then, say this prayer to honor the Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine via the Sun and Moon

In the presence of God and surrounded by spiritual friends, I pledge to consciously unite the divine feminine and masculine within myself. I will honor being and doing, intuition and logical thinking, imagination and concrete manifestation, wisdom and justice, compassion and insight, nurturing and protecting, and receiving and giving. I will welcome life’s blessings with gladness and thanksgiving. I will welcome life’s challenges with the ability to think clearly and with the courage to act. I Will do all in my power to support my Divine Masculine and Feminine and nurture and deepen this commitment within myself as well as in others All that I have, I will offer to God; Whatever God offers me, I will gladly receive. Amen

  • Write your list: Set your intentions. Before you start writing, consecrate your journal by putting your right hand on the journal, and say

“I dedicate this Brand New Journal to Manifesting all of the new moon intentions that I carefully write in it”

  • Write down your intentions on your new book. Hopes, dreams, desires. Attach dates where it feels comfortable and write in affirmative statements “I AM”. After every wish you write, you have to write this clause after every entry.

I give thanks to the Universe For all the new moon intentions fully manifesting in divine time, and absolute perfect alignment with my highest good and the highest good of all involved. So it is.

  • Once you’ve finished, read the list aloud along with the clause. Focus on what you want, not what you don’t want. Spend time feeling into each item as you write it down. If it isn’t resonating with you 100% do not put it on your list. Part of this practice is learning to feel as if you already have what you want, this is basic Law of Attraction, if you can feel it with your entire body it will be more likely to come into reality.

“Feel the feeling of the wish fulfilled.” – Wayne Dyer

  • MEDITATE AND REFLECT

When your list is complete spend some time meditating on it. Do this new moon meditation to manifest your desire.

It’s a wonderful practice at the end of your meditation to say to the universe that you are freeing yourself from clinging to your wishes and that you are grateful and excited for what is to come.

CLOSING OUT RITUALS:

Give thanks for the unfolding and development of your desires. Place the notebook someplace safe to reflect on it. At the Full Moon, find ways to take action on those intentions, and celebrate any signs of growth.

Please feel free to like, subscribe and share it with someone you love and help your loved one use the miracle of this ritual to manifest blessings in their lives.

Lots of love, blessings and gratitude.
