ROBERT LANCIA: A Champion of Transparency, Service, and Accountability
Robert Lancia, a former Rhode Island General Assembly member representing District 16 in Cranston from 2015 to 2018, also ran for Congress in 2020. As a retired Navy Chaplain and disabled veteran with service in various branches, including the Navy, Coast Guard, Marines, and the Canadian military, Mr. Lancia, alongside his wife Maryann, is actively involved in ongoing community service.

Currently pursuing his fifth degree at Providence College in Secondary Education, Urban Teaching, and Social Studies curriculum, Mr. Lancia aims to establish an aspirational initiative for middle schoolers in Providence, with a focus on addressing academic challenges among Black and Brown students.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Mr. Lancia is preparing to take on a pastorate in Johnston, Rhode Island, working towards helping a Liberian Baptist church reinvent itself for community growth and service.
Mr. And Mrs. Lancia take pride in their close relationship and dedicated advocacy for Indian and Indian American constituencies. This cause remains of great significance to them, and they maintain their commitment despite facing challenges.
